Shilpa Shetty Kundra has made an undisclosed investment in Kisankonnect, a Mumbai-based company that connects farmers to consumers. Shilpa Shetty-Kundra, known for her commitment to fitness and health, believes in the importance of fresh food and has chosen to support Kisankonnect as a means of promoting a healthy lifestyle.

The actress and entrepreneur praised the company's dedication to safe food and its efforts to connect farmers with consumers. Also, on her social media handle, she said, “You are what you eat” - I believe in and practice this motto very diligently. So does the amazing team of kisankonnect. I’m thrilled to be a part of ‘Aapka Apna Farmer’s Market’, which makes safe-to-eat food accessible and connects farmers directly to consumers. What’s even more interesting is that KisanKonnect works on soil health & crop health, and has created an amazing tech-enabled supply chain to protect the nutrition in fruits and vegetables. Consumers can finally trace and trust their food source on the ‘Kisankonnect App’ or at our ‘Farm Stores’. A healthy and nourishing meal is the first step towards a fitter & healthier You!”

Vivek Nirmal, the founder of Kisankonnect, is more than happy to partner with Shilpa Shetty Kundra.

Co-founder Nidhi Nirmal added that Kisankonnect offers fruits and vegetables in the Mumbai and Pune regions, with delivery options or the option to visit their "Farm Stores." The company is serving over 100,000 consumers in the two cities.

The agricultural technology sector in India has been experiencing significant activity, driven by large market sizes and opportunities for innovative business models.

This growth is expected to address challenges in horticulture, such as low earnings of farmers due to intermediaries and supply chain inefficiencies.
