Small Farmers' Agri-Business Consortium (SFAC) has announced new openings for various contractual positions to support its ongoing initiatives, including Fish Farmer Producer Organizations (FFPOs) and other Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs). These roles will play a crucial part in advancing SFAC’s mission to empower small-scale farmers and enhance agricultural business models across the country. SFAC, an autonomous body under the Societies Registration Act, 1860, plays a crucial role in promoting agribusiness and implementing schemes such as the Central Sector Scheme for the formation of 10,000 FPOs, the National Beekeeping & Honey Mission, and the e-National Agriculture Market.
The available positions include Project Coordinator (FFPO), Project Assistant (FFPO), Project Assistant (FPO), and Consultant. Each role requires candidates with relevant postgraduate qualifications in fields like Fisheries, Aquaculture, Agriculture, Horticulture, Agribusiness, and Business Administration. The Project Coordinator position requires a minimum of three years of experience, while the Consultant position demands ten years of experience in project management, strategic planning, and policy formulation.
Selected candidates will be responsible for various tasks such as preparing project reports, organizing exhibitions, creating market linkages, coordinating with government departments, and handling fund allocation under different schemes. The Project Coordinator will receive a consolidated salary of Rs 50,000 per month, while the Consultant will be offered Rs 70,000 per month. The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 years for the Project Coordinator and 45 years for the Consultant.
The initial contract period for all positions is one year, with the possibility of extension based on performance and project requirements. Interested candidates must submit their applications before the deadline of February 7, 2025.
