The State Bank of India probationary officer (SBI PO) preliminary exam 2019 is set to start today i.e. on 8 June 2019. SBI PO Prelims exam will be conducted in four slots on 8, 9, 15, and 16 June. This year, SBI has opened the recruitment for a total of 2,000 vacancies for the post.
Only the eligible candidates who crack the preliminary exam can appear for the main exam. The online form for the application process to the post of the PO started in April this year.
Some Useful Tips for Students before appearing for SBI PO Prelims Exams 2019:
1. Candidates are requested to reach the exam hall well before time. The examination venue will be closed 10 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
2. Candidates must carry photo ID card along with the Admit Card. One must not forget to carry these mandatory documents to the exam hall and must report before the mentioned time so as to avoid any cancellation.
3. Candidates must note that if they make any mistake/discrepancy in filling up the details in the OMR answer sheet, especially with regard to roll number and answer code, then their answer sheet is liable for rejection. Hence, it should be filled very carefully.
4. Stationary items like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry / Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Log Table Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad are not allowed inside the exam hall.
5. Mobile phones/handset, pager or any electronic equipment is strictly not allowed inside the exam hall.
6. Manage your time well. Only well managing your time will make you attempt a maximum number of questions with ease. As there will be separate timings for each section i.e 20 minutes. Do not spend too much time on one single question.
7. The SBI PO preliminary exam is held for 100 marks with separate time duration for each of the three sections, English, Reasoning, and Quantitative Aptitude.
8. The first section, English, is allotted 20 minutes for the completion of 30 questions carrying one mark each. Reasoning, is also allotted 20 minutes for 35 marks. The Quantitative Aptitude section is also allotted 20 minutes for 35 marks.
9. Students must finish all questions in a given section within the set time as they will not be able to log back into a previously concluded section even if they have extra time remaining at the end.
