Say Bye to Plastic and Bring Eco-friendly Bamboo Water Bottle & Cow Dung Soap for Just Rs 125

Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises on 1st October launched bamboo water bottle and soap made of cow dung (gobar) manufactured by the Khadi & Village Industries Commission.

Gadkari while launching these products at an event ahead of Gandhi Jayanti said that he is a big promoter of organic farming and its benefits.

The MSME minister asked well performing export units to get themselves listed on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and said that the ministry has suggested a scheme which entails 10% equity participation by the Centre in such listed micro, small & medium enterprises.

Gadkari further said, "20 Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises were registered on the National Stock Exchange & are now entering the capital market. We have planned a scheme and sent it to the Finance Ministry whereby 10% equity will be contributed by government”.

He also observed that Khadi & Village Industries Commission (KVIC) should achieve a turnover of over Rs. 10,000 crore in the next 2 years and also generate large-scale employment, particularly for those living in the rural areas or villages.

The minister highlighted the importance of branding products sold by the Khadi & Village Industries Commission along with growing acceptance of organic goods among customers.

He said, "We require professional, transparent approach with quality that has good packaging without compromising the spirit of our economic notion of Mahatma Gandhi”.

You can get the bamboo water bottle for Rs. 560 while the cow-dung soap variant of 125 grams will cost Rs. 125 each. The bamboo bottle of 700 ml to 900 ml capacity, made by a Tripura based organization, is the perfect substitute of plastic bottles as it is natural and cost-effective.

Along with bamboo bottle and cow dung soap, the MSME minister also launched a low-priced sanitary napkin made by Ladlee, a new soap & kachchi ghani mustard (sarso) oil.
