The Samyukta Kisan Morcha (SKM) told media that it would observe November 19 as ‘Fateh Diwas’ or ‘Victory Day’ as on that day last year the Central government had ordered the repeal of three controversial farm laws following their year-long agitation.

The three farm laws that were passed by the Indian Parliament in September 2020 were the reason for the 2020–2021 farmers' protest.

The Samyukta Kisan Morcha also declared that they will organize nationwide marches to Raj Bhawans on November 26 in protest of what they claim is the Centre's breach of assurance about farmers' unmet demands.

SKM, a group of farmers' unions that organised the protests against the new farm legislation that the Centre ultimately revoked, has scheduled a meeting for December 8 to deliberate the movement's strategy moving forward.

Samyukta Kisan Morcha leader Darshan Pal said at a press conference that marches to offices of Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs of all political parties will be held from 1 to 11 December 2022.

The farmers' body asserted that neither the Minimum Support Price Committee nor the "false" lawsuits against farmers that were filed during the agitation had been dropped.

Additionally, it charged that the government was not prepared to take into account the farmers' top demand, a statutory guarantee of MSP.

Dr Darshan Pal, SKM coordination committee member, said the farmers will give a memorandum of demands to the Rajya sabha & Lok sabha members across the nation “so that they raise our demands” in the Parliament.
