On February 18, 2025, Krishi Jagran hosted the ‘Samridh Kisan Utsav’ at the Vibrant Gujarat Exhibition Ground in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, with ICAR as the co-organizer. The event revolved around the theme ‘Samridh Kisan- Samridh Bharat.’ Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and supported by Sajeevan, Heerglobal, Zydex, and Somani Seedz, the event had 'Bank of India' as the banking partner and 'Krishi Viman' as the drone partner. The Utsav became a significant convergence point for the agricultural community, offering a platform for farmers to learn about the latest practices and innovations in farming.
This prestigious event brought together farmers from 33 districts, with a shared goal of promoting growth, innovation, and prosperity in Indian agriculture. It provided a valuable platform for farmers to connect, discover new opportunities, and engage in impactful workshops. The event kicked off with a registration process and featured enlightening sessions on crucial topics such as organic farming, and innovations in tractor technology.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Manoj Parihar, Territory Manager, Mahindra Tractor, Dr. Ajay Ranka, Chairman & Managing Director of Zydex Group, Manish Kumar Phulre, Zonal Manager, Bank of India, Hirenbhai Patel (Progressive Farmer), Gopal Bhai Suthariya, MC Dominic, Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Krishi Jagran. These esteemed speakers provided valuable insights into innovative farming solutions and state-of-the-art agricultural equipment, fostering discussions on enhancing farm income and recognizing the achievements of progressive farmers in the region.
Nituben Patel, recognized as the ‘Richest Farmer of India,’ shared her insights on the importance of sustainable farming practices.
In his address, Dr. Ajay Ranka highlighted the newer innovations in organic agriculture and their crucial role in enhancing farmers' incomes. He stated, “Consumers are increasingly prioritizing the quality of food over quantity. This shift presents significant potential for organic farming, which can substantially elevate the income of organic farmers. Today, soil fertility is declining due to reduced biomass and lower organic content. Our Zytonic technology addresses this challenge by improving aeration and water retention, fostering the growth of beneficial aerobic soil microbes, and creating an environment that encourages their exponential growth.”
