
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has extended the application deadline for the Group D recruitment drive, which aims to fill 32,438 Level 1 positions in various departments. Extended Deadlines and Application Process
In addition to the application deadline extension, the RRB has also revised other key dates:

Vacancy Details and Positions
The recruitment drive includes a total of 32,438 vacancies under Level 1 of the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix. Positions include roles such as Assistant Bridge, Assistant C&W, Assistant Depot (Stores), Assistant Loco Shed (Diesel), Track Maintainer, Cabin Man, Pointsman, among others.
Eligibility Criteria
Prospective applicants must meet the following criteria:

Age Limit: Candidates should be between 18 and 36 years old as of January 1, 2025. Notably, a one-time age relaxation of three years has been granted for those who missed previous recruitment cycles due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Educational Qualifications: Applicants must have completed Class 10 or hold an ITI or equivalent qualification, or possess a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT.
Application Fee and Salary Details
The application fee structure is as follows:

General/OBC Candidates: Rs 500, with Rs 400 refundable upon appearing in the first stage Computer Based Test (CBT).

SC/ST/PwBD/Women/Ex-Servicemen/Transgender/Minorities/Economically Backward Class Candidates: Rs 250, fully refundable upon appearing in the first stage CBT.
Selected candidates will receive an initial salary of Rs 18,000, as per the 7th CPC pay matrix.
Selection Process
The selection procedure for RRB Group D positions involves multiple stages:
