Rural Marketing Association of India (RMAI), the industry body of rural marketers, has announced the winners for the 14th edition of Flame Student Awards with a grand virtual ceremony that took place on 26th June 2022.
The initiative by RMAI recognizes the best projects by management students from across India in the rural segment. This edition of the event saw participation from students of prestigious management institutes like the Institute of Rural Management Anand, Army Institute of Management, IRM Jaipur, IABMI Anand, IIM Kashipur, IIPM Bengaluru, Jamia Millia Islamia, JBIMS Mumbai, KIIT Bhuwaneshwar, ICAR - NAARM, Shiv Nadar University, WeSchool (Welingkar Institute of Management), Lovely Professional University (LPU), among others.
The top 3 winners of the edition were chosen after a rigorous process of live presentation and QnA rounds by a Live-Jury panel, comprising Sanjay Kaul, Biswabaran Chakrabarti, Pradeep Lokhande, Rajkumar Jha & Puneet Vidyarthi.
The winners are Tejas Dongre from the Army Institute of Management & Technology, Greater Noida; Pulkit Prasad & Prakhar Prateek from the Institute of Rural Management Anand & Bibhudat Bihari from Indian Institute of Management, Kashipur.
Biswabaran Chakrabarti, President, RMAI, said, “RMAI is encouraging management students of leading B Schools to undertake projects in the rural arena and is in its 14 editions now. Projects from participating institutes were reviewed by an expert jury panel. Top 10 position holders were invited to present their projects live. Our compliments to all the participating Institutes and their students. It has been a great learning session for all of us present.”
An exclusive Panel Discussion focused on 'Career Opportunities in Rural Marketing' was held during the event, attended by eminent panellists Sanjay Panigrahi; Ajay Desai; C Arun Kumar & Venkatram Vasantavada.
The ceremony also had interesting slices from a rural journey of industry stalwarts Avinash Oza, ICICI Home Finance Company Ltd; Priya Kumar, SBI General Insurance Company Limited & Shankar Shinde, VMLY&R Commerce. The event was supported by Seedworks International & Upflock as partners.
