In today’s time, Ration Card is as important as Aadhar Card, because it also holds the information about an individual & his family. The distribution of ration is based on the information provided on ration card; it tells how much ration is needed in a particular family.
The ration card includes the names of the members of a family including the head of a family as & when the members increases the relevant names are added as an update and for the further assistance. For example, if a child is born or a person has been added in the family via marriage etc.

When adding names of children of family, the head of the family require a photo along with their birth certificates & Aadhar card of parents.

If a member added in the family via marriage & the head of the family wants to add the woman’s name on ration card then her Aadhar card, marriage certificate & the ration card of that member’s parents are required.

Go to the official website of your state’s food supply or if you belong to the Uttar Pradesh then you can visit via: https://fcs.up.gov.in/

If you are visiting for the first time, then you will have to create an official ID but if you already one then you can directly log-in with it.

After logging-in, you will be directed to a homepage, where you will find an option, which leads to adding a member.

Click on a new member link & a new form will appear on the screen.

Fill up the correct information of the new member in that form.

You will have to upload a soft copy of all the documents required after uploading everything, submit the form.

After the submission, a registration number will be given to you.

With the help of that registration number, you can track your form on the website.

Officials will check all the documents, in case of any discrepancies you will be informed & if everything is correct then your form will be accepted & your name will be directly added to the ration card and it will be delivered to you at your home.
