If you are also a ration card holder, then this news is for your use. This good news has been given by the government to the Antyodaya ration card holders. Now taking another step, the government has made one more facility mandatory for all families with an Antyodaya ration card.
The government has decided that Ayushman cards will be made for free treatment of all Antyodaya card holders. For this, a special campaign is also going on at the district and tehsil level. Under the campaign, the target has been set to make an Ayushman card for all the members of the Antyodaya card holder family.
District level campaign
This facility is also being provided by the government at Jan Suvidha Kendra. You can apply for Ayushman card at Jan Suvidha Kendra by showing your ration card. The Yogi government of UP has ordered to make Ayushman cards for the Antyodaya ration card holders. This campaign is being run at the district level. Earlier its last date to apply was in July. But now the last date has been extended.
How to Apply for Ayushman card?
At present, the Antyodaya cardholders do not have Ayushman cards available, they can complete their process by visiting the concerned department. After getting the eligible beneficiary card, by showing the Antyodaya ration card in the Jan Seva Kendra, Community Health Center, private hospital attached to the Ayushman panel, or in the district hospital, an Ayushman card can be made for all the members of the family.
No Need to Worry about Treatment
At present, new Ayushman cards are not being made by the government. The cards of only those beneficiaries whose names are already in the scheme are being made. The government plans that Antyodaya cardholders do not have to worry about treatment in case of any kind of health-related problem. Instructions have also been given to the District Supply Officer from the government level for this.
Antyodaya ration card is given to below poverty line (BPL) families. Through this card, the beneficiary gets food items every month at affordable prices. A total of 35 kg of wheat and rice is given to the cardholders. For this, Rs 2 per kg of wheat has to be paid and Rs 3 per kg of rice has to be paid.
