Rakesh Tikait, Bharatiya Kisan Union Leader, who is protesting against the new farm laws, has given big intimidation to the government while addressing the farmers’ gathering in KharkPunia, Haryana. He said, “if the government will pressurize them, then farmers will set their crops standing in field on fire.”
Rakesh Tikait clearly threatened the government and said that the Centre should not be misunderstood that we will end the farmers’ movement in two months, he said, “if the Centre will pressurize us, then we will set our crops on fire.” He said, “we will harvest our crops and also continue farmers’ protest.”

After this, Rakesh Tikait targets the Centre over the increased petrol and diesel prices. He said, “In our country crops prices are not increasing, but petrol and diesel prices are increasing continuously.”
He also mentioned that if the government will try to worsen the situation, then they will go to West Bengal with their tractors, as farmers there also don’t get the support price for their crop.

And one more important thing to mention is that the main organization of this movement, the United KisanMorcha, had called for a ‘Rail Stop’ from 12 noon to 4 pm on Thursday, February 18 as a part of the protest against the new agricultural laws.
In the protest against three agricultural laws, farmers’ organizations have called for a ‘Rail Stop’ demonstration across the country. But, its effect was seen in just a few places of Punjab and Haryana. Farmers sat on the tracks as a part of the protest yesterday. But, as a precaution, officials stopped trains at the stations, and overall, rail service did not get much affected because of this demonstration.
