According to a statement, Adityanath, who presided over a high-level meeting, also told officials that there should be no delays in compensating farmers affected by the unseasonal rainfall.
Farmers and agricultural produce have suffered as a result of late rain and hailstorms in numerous locations in March. There has also been information on hailstorms in nine districts in the last 24 hours. Adityanath stated that the state government is standing behind farmers in this time of crisis.
The government's aim is to protect the interests of the 'Annadata (farmers),' he remarked while watching a Revenue Department presentation. After examining the damaged crops, the chief minister asked officials to make the necessary surveillance measures and told them that there should be no delay in delivering compensation to the farmers, as per relief commissioner's office norms.
He also directed officials to make timely weather forecast information available to farmers. Adityanath stated that information on meteorological warnings should be made available to farmers in rural areas via television, newspapers, and the local administration, and that this forecast should be valid for 24-48 hours. When people are alert, the damage is reduced, according to Adityanath.
Natural disasters such as rain, strong winds, and hailstorms can harm wheat and other crops. The crop's quality is also likely to suffer, according to Adityanath, who mandated that such commodities be acquired using the minimum support price mechanism.
He directed that the required proposals be developed to relax the regulations if needed. Adityanath also stated that there may be a straw shortage this year due to the potential loss of the wheat harvest. In such a case, the Animal Husbandry department should plan ahead of time for cow fodder.
