Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022: AICTE Begins Registration, Apply Now

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has started registration for Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022. The last date to register for PMSSS 2022 is September 5.

The registration process for Prime Minister Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS) 2022 has been started by the All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) today. 

The PMSSS 2022 scholarship program is open to engineering diploma students enrolled in academic sessions 2022–2023 who are residents of the union territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Aspiring candidates can register online from the official website -- aicte-jk-scholarship-gov.in. The last date to register for PMSSS 2022 is September 5.

The students are advised to register right away, check their documentation, and not wait until the deadline. "For lateral entry admission, online registration for the academic session 2022–23 under PMSSS is open with effect from August 29, 2022, to September 5, 2022 (second year). Only engineering stream seats that are open during the academic year 2021–2022 will be used for lateral entry admission," according to a statement from the AICTE.

On the official website, you can find information on courses, eligibility requirements, and other important facts. Only students who have earned a certificate from the Jammu and Kashmir board of technical education no earlier than 2020–21 are eligible to apply for the scholarship, according to the AICTE's announcement. The PMSSS 2022 scholarship program will offer students different amounts for both the academic cost and the hostel charges.

Students who qualify for the PMSSS scholarship scheme will get financial support for up to Rs 1.25 lakh in academic fees as well as a maintenance grant of Rs 1 lakh in annual installments of Rs 10,000 each.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the PMSSS scholarship scheme to help Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh students who wish to enroll in undergraduate programs in universities outside of the union territories.
