Droupadi Murmu, President of India will present the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar 2023 to eleven brilliant children during an award ceremony at Vigyan Bhawan tomorrow i.e. 23 January, 2023.
On 24 January 2023, Prime Minister, Narendra Modi will interact with the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar awardees. Later on the same day, Smriti Zubin Irani, Minister of Women & Child Development, will also interact with the children and praise them for their exemplary performances in their respective fields in the presence of Dr. Munjpara Mahendrabhai, Minister of State.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) award categories
The Government of India confers Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) to kids for their exceptional achievements in different categories. The awards are conferred upon children in the age group 5 to 18 years, for their excellence in 6 categories, viz. Art & Culture, Scholastic, Bravery, Innovation, Social Service and Sports, which deserve national recognition.
Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar cash prize amount
Each awardee of Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar is given a medal, a cash prize of Rs.1 Lakh and a Certificate.
This year, the award will be conferred upon eleven children selected from all across the country for their exceptional achievement in the field of Art and Culture (4), Sports (3), Innovation (2), Bravery (1) and Social Service (1).
In 2022, the Pradhan Mantri Rashtriya Bal Puraskar (PMRBP) was conferred to 29 brilliant children. The winners included 15 boys and 14 girls from all over India.
In 2021, as many as 32 kids were given Rashtriya Bal Puraskar for excelling in a variety of areas, including creativity, athletics, arts, community service, scholarship and bravery.
