During his two-day visit to Gujarat, where elections will start on September 30, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will officially open the Gandhinagar-Mumbai Vande Bharat Express and the Ahmedabad Metro rail as well as lay the foundation for multiple projects totaling more than 29,000 crores.
The initiatives, according to an official statement, are dispersed across the cities of Surat, Bhavnagar, Ahmedabad, and Ambaji and are intended to build world-class infrastructure while also boosting mobility and convenience of living.
The Navratri festival festivities in Ahmedabad will also include participation by Prime Minister Modi. In Gujarat, the PM will unveil projects worth Rs 29,000 crore and the Vande Bharat train. This week, on his visit to Gujarat, Prime Minister Modi will signal the start of the Vande Bharat Express.
He will ride the metro from Kalupur station to Doordarshan Kendra station after announcing the start of the Ahmedabad Metro train project. The 36th National Games, which are being held for the first time in Gujarat, will also be opened by PM Modi, who will also lay the cornerstone for the world's first CNG terminal at Bhavnagar.
The Prime Minister will also be naugurating Phase I of DREAM City, a project designed to support the booming diamond trading industry in Surat.
Additionally, he will lay the cornerstone for a wide gauge railroad line that will facilitate pilgrims' journeys to Ambaji. PM Modi will go to the Ambaji temple to offer prayers. He'll also go to Gabbar Tirtha's Maha Aarti.
