DA & FW, Ministry of Agriculture & Farmers’ Welfare, Govt. of India, is organizing ‘Agri Startup Conclave & Kisan Sammelan,’ which will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Pusa Mela Ground, New Delhi. The event is envisioned to create a dialogue and accelerate innovations at a national level for startups in the agriculture and allied sectors to support farmers.
To be held on Oct 17-18, 2022, the event with the theme ‘Badalta Krishi Paridrishya Aur Takneek’ aims to showcase the role played by agri startups in different dimensions of agriculture processes and produces, agri-machinery, agri-inputs, innovation in agri technologies, and various farmer-friendly practices to the farmers. Also, the big news expected is that during the event the PM will also release the much-anticipated 12th installment of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Basically, the conclave is a knowledge fest that will foster an exchange of ideas between various key stakeholders including central and state government officials, start-ups from the wider ecosystem, incubators, FPOs, academicians, as well as agribusiness, incubators across the country.
There’s a lot more the event will offer! For instance, there’ll be a technical session on day 2 of the event which will provide an opportunity for start-ups to learn from their peer startups and share amazing ideas.
The main focus of the government is to help startups realize their growth potential and scale up in the most effective way, as this will provide opportunities in the form of connections with venture capitalists, angel investor networks, debt mechanisms, private equity funds, and other government and semi-government organizations to serve as essential elements of the funding landscape of the country.
