Today, Prime Minster Narendra Modi visited Gorakhpur (Uttar Pradesh) to dedicate three major development projects to the nation. These projects are of around ten thousand crores.
The projects are namely the Fertilizer Plant, AIIMS, and a new building of the regional center of the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR). PM Modi, in a series of tweets, said that “7th December is a special day for the development trajectory of Uttar Pradesh, especially Purvanchal.”
PM Modi said that – “It makes me very happy that the Gorakhpur Fertilizer Plant will be revived after remaining shut for 30 years.” He also described “This plant as an important one in order to become ‘Atmanirbhar’ in urea production, and I will dedicate the AIIMS Gorakhpur to the nation. This will strengthen health infrastructure in the state.”
“I will also inaugurate the new building of the regional center of ICMR. The Centre has played a key role in curing people of Acute Encephalitis Syndrome” – he said. While praising the efforts of the Uttar Pradesh government in eliminating encephalitis disease which once plagued the region, PM Modi said “UP Government has made commendable efforts in the last 4 years in this area.”
The foundation stone of the Fertilizer Plant and AIIMS had been laid by PM Modi in 2016. Within 5 years, both are ready. People are feeling hopeful that these projects will bring change to the region.
