PM Modi Distributes 71,000 Appointment Letters to New Recruits Under Rozgar Mela Today

Prime Minister, Narendra Modi distributed 71,000 appointment letters to newly appointed recruits virtually today. The new recruits were appointed across various government departments.

Under the Rozgar Mela, PM Modi distributed appointment letters via video conferencing to newly inducted recruits today across departments and organizations of the government. Rozgar Mela was launched by PM last year with the aim of providing 10 lakh jobs to the youth in the Central Government.

What is Rozgar Mela

Launched on Oct 22, last year, Rozgar Mela was central government’s recruitment drive to facilitate employment opportunities to the youth of the country. The first phase of Rozgar Mela aimed at 75,000 jobs and physical copies were handed out at the PLW, Patiala among other places.

A total of 45 physical of Rozgar Melas were organized in November last year apart from which PM also distributed 71,000 Offer of Appointment letters through video conference. Side by side, the Union Minister of Power, New and Renewable Energy, Raj Kumar Singh handed over 81 appointment letters at the Rozgar Mela hosted in Sonipat on the same day.

The appointment in the various positions under the Government of India include junior engineers, loco pilots, technicians, inspector, sub inspectors, constable, stenographer, junior accountant, gramin dak sevak, income tax inspector, teacher, nurse, doctor, social security officer, PA, MTS, and others.

A great number of posts of teachers, lecturers, nurses, nursing officers, doctors, pharmacists, radiographers and other technical and paramedical posts have been filled previously. In November, a significant number of posts were filled by the Ministry of Home Affairs in various Central Armed Police Forces.

PM’s accord to facilitate the vision of Rozgar Mela is to give the highest priority to employment generation in the country. Along with which Karmayogi Prarambh module was launched. The module is an online orientation programme for all the newly appointed recruits in the various departments.

The training under the Karmayogi Prarambh module include code of conduct for Government employees, workplace ethics and integrity, human resource policies and other benefits like allowances which will be aiding them to get acclimatized to the policies and function as a smooth transitional module into the new roles. The Karmayogi Prarambh platform also offers other courses and training programs to enhance the knowledge, skills and competencies of the new recruits.
