On this day, 2 years ago, PM Kisan Scheme came into force. The scheme was launched with the objective of ensuring a prosperous and dignified life for farmers.
Prime Minister, in a series of tweets, said, “On this day, 2 years ago the PM-Kisan scheme was launched with an aim to ensure a life of dignity as well as prosperity for our hardworking farmers, who work day and night to keep our nation fed. The tenacity and passion of our farmers is inspiring.”
According to PM Modi, the passion and the tenacity of farmers is inspiring.
Since the last 7 years, Government of India has initiated a string of schemes and projects to transform agriculture. They include advancement of technology, better irrigation, more agriculture credit, more markets, better crop insurance, emphasis on soil health, removal of middlemen through schemes like e-nam and others.
The government has done and is still doing a comprehensive endeavor towards the betterment of the farming community.
Modi government made history by increasing MSP. The government is focused towards implementing things that double farmers’ income. The work done by the Government of India for farmers is laudable.
