What is PM-KISAN Yojana?
All farmers will receive Rs. 6,000 per year as minimum income support under the Modi government's PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Minister Piyush Goyal introduced the PM-Kisan Scheme during the 2019 Interim Union Budget on February 1, 2019.
According to sources, the annual cost of PM-Kisan is Rs. 75,000 crore. Every farmer in this scheme receives Rs. 6000 per year in three equal installments, which are sent directly to their bank accounts. The government has distributed Rs 16,000 crore to nearly 8 crore eligible farmers.
Farmers, on the other hand, can gain if they update their KYC for the PM Kisan Yojana. Beneficiaries can complete the eKYC process on the MKISAN Portal using an OTP-based technique.
