The Rajasthan government has announced an increase in the yearly payout under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) Scheme, in an important step intended to strengthen assistance for farmers. This announcement comes as part of the state's Budget presentation, which also included other measures targeting agricultural development and welfare.
The Rajasthan government announced an additional annual payout of Rs 2,000 for farmers as part of the PM-KISAN scheme. This brings the total assistance provided to farmers to Rs 8,000 per annum, offering crucial financial support to the agrarian community.
Eligibility Criteria of PM Kisan Yojana:

The PM-Kisan Scheme is only available to small and marginal farmers.

Farmers with cultivable land up to two hectares are classified as small and marginal farmers.

The scheme will not be available to any farmer who acquired land after February 1, 2019.

Farmers need to have a bank account to send money immediately.

The program is also available to tribal farmers who possess rights to agricultural property in forested areas.
