According to various media reports, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will most probably release the 13th installment of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana before Holi, i.e. March 8. However, no official announcement has been made regarding this.
e-KYC Compulsory for 13th Installment
If you are also a beneficiary of PM Kisan Yojana and have not done your e-KYC till now, then the 13th installment will not come in your account. Therefore, you should get your e-KYC done as soon as possible. The e-KYC can be updated online (official website) as well as offline (Common Service Centre). The government has made it very clear that farmers who will not complete their e-KYC will be deprived of the benefits of the 13th installment.
Recently, the Government said that as there were many duplicate entries in the list of PM Kisan beneficiaries, they had to be weeded out. The statement comes after strong opposition from farmers as well as Opposition leaders over reduction in allocation of funds for the scheme.
The Centre clarified that every eligible beneficiary of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi will continue to get benefits of the scheme and hence virtually there is no cut in the budget.
