PM-KISAN 20th Instalment Date: As lakhs of Indian farmers eagerly await the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana, the government has issued a public advisory urging beneficiaries to remain alert and avoid falling prey to fake messages and misleading updates circulating on social media.
The advisory, shared by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, emphasizes the importance of relying only on official sources for updates related to the PM-KISAN scheme. In recent weeks, several fraudulent messages and fake announcements have been seen online, falsely claiming to offer early payment confirmations or links to beneficiary lists.
What Is the PM-KISAN Scheme?
Launched in February 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana is a central government initiative aimed at supporting the income of small and marginal farmers. The scheme provides financial assistance to meet agricultural needs like seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs. To date, over 11 crore farmers have benefited.
Beware of Rumours and Fake Websites
According to the latest awareness poster shared by the official PM-KISAN handle on X (formerly Twitter), many of these scams are designed to trick farmers into clicking on unknown links, sharing personal information, or believing false payment dates. Such actions can lead to financial fraud and misuse of personal data.

The government reassures farmers that all important announcements will be made through verified sources only, and that no third party is authorized to collect or confirm instalment payments on behalf of PM-KISAN.
What We Know So Far About the 20th Instalment
The 19th instalment of PM-KISAN was credited on February 24, 2025, and many farmers had expected the 20th instalment to be released by late June. There was strong anticipation that Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his visit to Motihari, Bihar on July 18, would announce the next payment. During this visit, he inaugurated development projects worth over Rs 7,100 crore, including major railway, road, and IT infrastructure initiatives.
However, no official announcement regarding the release of the 20th PM-KISAN installment was made at the event. As a result, farmers are still waiting, and the government has not yet confirmed any official payment date.
Farmers are advised to complete their e-KYC, ensure Aadhaar-bank linking, and check their beneficiary status regularly using the official portal. Most importantly, stay alert and don’t fall for false messages promising instant payments. Only genuine updates from the government should be trusted.
