PM Kisan 20th Instalment 2025: Farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana, which is expected to be released soon. Under this central government scheme, eligible farmers receive financial assistance of Rs 2,000 every four months. The 19th instalment was released on February 24, 2025, benefiting over 9.8 crore farmers with a total disbursement of Rs 22,000 crore through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Now, all eyes are on the 20th instalment.
If you are a PM-KISAN beneficiary, this update is very important for you.
What Is PM‑KISAN?
The PM-KISAN scheme was launched in February 2019 to support farmers with financial help. Under this scheme, eligible farmers get Rs 6,000 every year in three instalments of Rs 2,000 each. The money is directly sent to their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. This helps farmers cover basic farming expenses like seeds, fertilizers, and other essentials.
When Will the 20th Instalment Be Released?
According to latest updates, the next instalment of Rs 2,000 may be transferred to eligible farmers' accounts in the third week of June 2025. However, there is no official confirmation from the government yet. In the meantime, it is important for all registered farmers to ensure that their documents and records are up to date so that the payment is not delayed or rejected.
Complete These 4 Steps to Receive the PM Kisan Rs 2,000 Amount
Farmers who wish to receive the 20th instalment without any delay must complete the following steps in time:
1. Complete e-KYC
It is mandatory for all PM-Kisan beneficiaries to complete their electronic Know Your Customer (e-KYC) process. You can do this online on the official PM-KISAN website using your Aadhaar-linked mobile number, or by visiting your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric verification.
2. Link Aadhaar with Your Bank Account
Ensure that your Aadhaar number is correctly linked with your registered bank account. Without Aadhaar seeding, the instalment will not be credited. Visit your bank branch to confirm and complete the process if it's pending.
3. Verify and Update Land Records
Your land ownership details should be properly recorded and verified with the revenue department. Any mismatch or outdated records can lead to cancellation of benefits.
4. Check Your Beneficiary Status
Before the instalment is released, you can check if your name is in the beneficiary list by visiting the official website. Click on the “Beneficiary Status” option under the “Farmers Corner” and enter your Aadhaar number, account number, or mobile number to check your status.
If your status shows “FTO Generated” or “Payment under process,” your Rs 2,000 installment is likely to be credited soon.

The government has also launched the PM-Kisan Mobile App to make the scheme more accessible and transparent. Using the app, farmers can:
