If you are a beneficiary of the M-KISAN, then this update is important for you. The government is preparing to release the 20th instalment of PM-KISAN soon. The previous (19th) instalment was released on 24 February 2025, when nearly 9.8 crore farmers received financial aid totaling Rs 22,000 crore directly in their bank accounts. Now, all eyes are on the upcoming 20th instalment. Farmers are advised to complete a few important steps to ensure their next Rs 2,000 payment is not delayed. It is important to note that farmers will not receive the PM-KISAN 20th instalment if these mandatory steps are not completed.

When will the 20th Instalment Be Released?

Based on previous trends, the 20th instalment is likely to be credited in June 2025. According to media reports, the payment may be released in the first or second week of June, but the government has not issued any official confirmation yet. If your documents are complete and verified, you can expect the amount to be credited to your bank account on time.

What Is the PM-KISAN Yojana?

Launched in February 2019, the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a government scheme aimed at supporting small and marginal farmers across India. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, divided into three instalments of Rs 2,000 each.

Payments are transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), ensuring the money reaches farmers' bank accounts directly, cutting out middlemen and reducing the risk of fraud. The scheme helps farmers cover expenses related to seeds, fertilizers, and other farming essentials.

If you’re a new applicant or haven’t received PM-KISAN payments before, you can still register. A special verification drive is being conducted in several states. Visit your nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) or agriculture office for help with registration.

Why Some Farmers May Not Receive the 20th Instalment

Here are the most common reasons for non-payment:

  • e-KYC not completed

  • Aadhaar not linked with bank account

  • Incorrect bank account details

  • Mismatch in land records

  • Inactive or closed bank account

Fixing these issues as soon as possible is important to avoid missing the next instalment.

Steps to Avoid Payment Delays

To ensure timely payment of your PM-KISAN instalment, make sure the following are completed:

1. Complete e-KYC

Without e-KYC, your name may be removed from the beneficiary list. You can complete it:

  • Online at pmkisan.gov.in

  • At your nearest CSC using biometric verification

2. Link Aadhaar with Bank Account

Your Aadhaar must be linked with your bank account to receive DBT payments. If unsure, check with your bank and update the linkage if needed.

3. Verify Land Ownership Records

Your land records are verified by local authorities. Make sure they are updated and match your application details to avoid rejection.

How to Check PM-KISAN Payment Beneficiary Status

Follow these steps to check your name in the beneficiary list:

  1. Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  2. Click on “Beneficiary Status” under the Farmers Corner

  3. Enter your Aadhaar number, bank account number, or mobile number

  4. Click on “Get Data” to see your payment status and history

If your status says “FTO Generated” or “Payment Under Process”, your Rs 2,000 is likely on its way.

What to Do If You Haven’t Received the Payment?

If your name is on the list but the payment hasn’t reached your account, you can file a complaint in the following ways:

  • Email

  • Helpline Numbers

    • 155261

    • 1800-115-526 (Toll-Free)

    • 011-24300606

  • Online Grievance Portal

Visit the Grievance Section on the PM-KISAN website and register your complaint using your Aadhaar number, mobile number, or bank account number.

All PM-KISAN beneficiaries are advised to ensure that their details are correct and up to date. Complete your e-KYC, check if your Aadhaar is linked to your bank account, and verify your land records. These small steps will help you receive the Rs 2,000 instalment without any delay. Keep checking the official PM-KISAN portal for updates. If everything is in order, the 20th instalment should be credited to your account very soon.
