PM-KISAN 20th Instalment 2025: As July begins, lakhs of farmers across the country are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana. The 19th installment was credited on February 24, 2025, and based on the regular payment cycle, many farmers had expected the next Rs 2,000 installment to arrive in June. With the credit delayed, the payment is now expected to be transferred in early July. Here's a quick look at when the payment might be released, who is eligible, and the essential steps you need to complete to receive it on time.

What is the PM-KISAN Scheme?

Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, launched in 2019, provides Rs 6,000 per year to eligible landholding farmers. This amount is given in three equal instalments of Rs 2,000 each through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Over 11 crore farmers have benefitted from this scheme so far.

The 19th installment was credited in February 2025. While it was earlier expected in June, the 20th installment is now likely to be released in early July 2025.

When will the PM Kisan 20th Instalment Come?

According to recent reports, the 20th instalment may be released in the first or second week of July. Some media outlets have also reported that Prime Minister Narendra Modi may release this instalment during an official event in July. However, there is no official confirmation from the government yet.

Farmers are advised to regularly check the official PM-KISAN portal and ensure that all their documents and records are updated. The delay appears to be linked to the ongoing e-KYC and document verification drive being carried out across states.

So, if you're a registered beneficiary, make sure you’ve completed all the required steps, especially the mandatory e-KYC, to receive your Rs 2,000 instalment without delay. Also, ensure your mobile number is active and updated, as it's essential for OTP verification, status alerts, and grievance support.

Why Updating Mobile Numbers Is Important for PM-KISAN Beneficiaries

Your registered mobile number plays a crucial role in the PM-KISAN scheme. It is used for receiving SMS alerts, OTP verification, payment status updates, and even raising or resolving grievances. If your mobile number is inactive or changed, you may miss important updates and even fail to complete your mandatory e-KYC.

How to Update Your Mobile Number:

  • Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  • Click on ‘Update Mobile Number’

  • Enter your Aadhaar number or registration number

  • Enter your new mobile number and verify it via OTP

Offline Option:

You can also update your number by visiting the nearest CSC (Common Service Centre) or agriculture office. Carry your Aadhaar, registration number, and new mobile number for verification.

It is important to note that if e-KYC is not completed using a valid mobile number, your name may be removed from the beneficiary list.

e-KYC is Now Compulsory

The government has made e-KYC (Electronic Know Your Customer) mandatory for all beneficiaries. If your e-KYC is incomplete, you may not receive the Rs 2,000 instalment. Many farmers missed earlier payments due to this reason. You can complete your e-KYC using three simple methods:

How to Complete e-KYC (3 Easy Ways)

  1. Online OTP Verification
    • Go to pmkisan.gov.in

    • Click on ‘e-KYC’ under the ‘Farmers Corner’

    • Enter your Aadhaar number

    • Verify using OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile number

  2. PM-KISAN Mobile App (Face Authentication)
    • Download the PM-KISAN app

    • Select e-KYC option

    • Complete face authentication and submit

  3. Common Service Centre (CSC)
    • Visit the nearest CSC or Seva Kendra

    • Ask them to complete your biometric e-KYC

    • Especially useful if your Aadhaar is not linked with your mobile number

How to Check PM-KISAN Beneficiary Status

Want to know if your name is in the beneficiary list? Follow these steps:

  • Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  • Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’

  • Enter your Aadhaar number or bank account number

  • Click ‘Get Data’ to see your status

If your name does not appear, it may be due to pending e-KYC, incorrect land records, or unlinked Aadhaar.

PM Kisan 20th Instalment 2025: Don’t Forget These 3 Things

  1. Link Aadhaar with Bank Account: If your Aadhaar is not linked to your bank account, the money will not be transferred.

  2. Keep Land Records Updated: The scheme is only for farmers who own cultivable land. Make sure your land documents are correct.

  3. Check Mobile Number: e-KYC and payment alerts are sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile. Keep it active and updated.

If you need any help regarding the PM-KISAN scheme, you can contact the PM-KISAN helpline at 155261 or 1800-115-5261 for assistance. You can also visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) or local Agriculture Office for support with e-KYC, mobile number updates, or checking your beneficiary status. Additionally, it’s a good idea to regularly check the official PM-KISAN website for the latest updates and announcements.
