PM-KISAN 20th Instalment 2025: The 20th installment of the PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is expected to be released soon, likely in June 2025, continuing the Central Government’s direct support to farmers across India. Under this scheme, eligible landholding farmers receive Rs 6,000 annually, distributed in three equal installments of Rs 2,000 directly into their bank accounts through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

But here’s the important part: to receive the Rs 2,000 instalment on time, you must complete a few mandatory steps, especially e-KYC. If you don’t, your name might be dropped from the beneficiary list, and you may miss the payment altogether.

What is PM-KISAN?

Launched in February 2019, PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana is a government scheme that provides direct income support to eligible farmers to help them cover farming and household expenses. It has become a major source of financial relief for over 11 crore farmers across India.

When Will the 20th Instalment Be Released?

The 19th instalment was released in February 2025, and based on the regular cycle, the 20th instalment is likely due in June 2025. Although no official date has been announced yet, farmers are advised to keep checking the PM-KISAN portal and complete all formalities in advance to avoid delays.

PM Kisan e-KYC: Now Mandatory

The government has made e-KYC mandatory to receive payments under the PM-KISAN scheme. Without it, your name might be removed from the beneficiary list. Fortunately, completing e-KYC has become easier and can be done in three simple ways:

1. Online via Website

  • Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  • Go to the ‘Farmers Corner’

  • Click on ‘e-KYC’

  • Enter your Aadhaar number and complete OTP verification

If your Aadhaar is linked with your mobile number, the process can be completed in a few minutes.

2. Through Mobile App

  • Download the PM-KISAN Mobile App

  • Use the face authentication feature or enter Aadhaar details

  • Follow the instructions to complete the e-KYC

3. Visit Common Service Centre (CSC)

  • If your Aadhaar is not linked to your mobile, visit the nearest CSC

  • They will complete your biometric-based e-KYC

This is especially helpful for farmers in rural areas who may not have access to internet-enabled smartphones.

Check Your Name in the Beneficiary List

Along with e-KYC, make sure your name is included in the latest PM-KISAN beneficiary list. Here's how:

  • Go to the PM-KISAN website

  • Click on ‘Beneficiary List

  • Select your State, District, Block, and Village

  • Click on ‘Get Report’ to see if your name is listed

Farmers can call the PM-KISAN helpline at 1800-180-1551 (6 AM – 10 PM) or visit nearby CSCs for support. Also, scan the QR code (as seen in the official poster) for direct access to the platform and updates.

Farmers who have already completed their e-KYC and updated the necessary documents are well on track to receive the Rs 2,000 under the 20th PM-KISAN installment. However, it's important to double-check your beneficiary status and ensure that all other details, like Aadhaar-bank linking and land records, are accurate.
