PM-KISAN 20th Installment 2025: The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme was officially released on August 2, 2025, from Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, with Rs 20,500 crore transferred directly to the bank accounts of over 9 crore eligible farmers across the country. While many have confirmed receiving Rs 2,000 payment, several farmers are still reporting delays or non-receipt.

If you're one of those who haven’t received the PM-KISAN 20th installment, don’t panic. There could be several reasons for the delay, and in most cases, these issues can be resolved with a few simple steps.

What Is PM-KISAN?

PM-KISAN Yojana, launched in February 2019, provides Rs 6,000 annually to eligible landholding farmers, disbursed in three installments of Rs 2,000 each through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). Over 11 crore farmers have benefited from the scheme since its inception, aimed at improving agricultural investment and providing financial support to small and marginal farmers.

First, Confirm Your Payment Status

Before taking any further action, you should first check whether the payment was initiated for your account. Here's how:

  1. Visit the official PM-KISAN portal: https://pmkisan.gov.in

  2. Click on ‘Beneficiary Status’ under the Farmers Corner

  3. Enter your Aadhaar number, account number, or mobile number

  4. Click on ‘Get Data’ to see the status of your last payment

If the status says ‘Payment Success’ but no amount has reached your bank, wait for 1–2 working days as some banks may take time to reflect the credit. If it says ‘Payment Failed’ or ‘Pending’, follow the next steps.

Why Your Rs 2,000 Might Not Have Been Credited

Here are the most common reasons why some farmers didn’t receive their PM-KISAN installment even though it has been officially released:

1. e-KYC Not Completed: e-KYC is mandatory under the PM-KISAN scheme. Without completing this process, your name may have been removed from the active beneficiary list.

2. Aadhaar Not Linked with Bank Account: The Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) fails if your Aadhaar is not properly linked to your bank account.

3. Wrong Bank Account Details: An incorrect IFSC code, closed/inactive account, or mismatch in name spelling can stop your payment.

4. Land Record Issues: If your land documents are under verification or mismatched with your Aadhaar data, the payment may be held.

PM-KISAN 20th Installment: What You Should Do Now

If you didn't receive the payment, here’s a step-by-step checklist to help you troubleshoot the issue:

1. Complete e-KYC Immediately

  • Visit pmkisan.gov.in and click on the ‘e-KYC’ link.

  • Enter your Aadhaar and verify via OTP.

  • If you're facing issues online, go to your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for biometric e-KYC.

2. Update Bank and Aadhaar Details

  • Visit your bank and ensure your Aadhaar is correctly linked.

  • Confirm that your account is active and updated.

  • Submit corrected details at the CSC or agriculture office if required.

3. Check with Local Agriculture Office

  • Visit your tehsil or block agriculture office with your Aadhaar, bank passbook, and land documents.

  • Ask for your payment status and request an update if required.

4. Call or Email PM-KISAN Helpline

Keep your Aadhaar and account number handy before making a call.

Pro Tip: Use DigiLocker or mAadhaar

If you are asked to provide proof of Aadhaar or landholding, you can use DigiLocker, mAadhaar, or your physical land passbook and ID.

If your Rs 2,000 PM-KISAN installment has not arrived even after August 2, don’t worry. This is a common issue faced by many due to incomplete details or technical errors. Follow the steps above to verify and correct your records. Once the issue is resolved, the pending payment will be credited, and you’ll continue receiving future installments without disruption.
