PM-Kisan 20th Installment 2025: The 20th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme is likely to be released in June 2025. PM Kisan 19th Installment
On February 24, 2025, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released the 19th installment of the PM-Kisan scheme, providing vital financial aid to over 9.8 crore farmers across India. In this phase, more than Rs 22,000 crore was transferred directly into farmers' bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.
Now, all eyes are on the 20th installment, expected in June 2025, which will provide another Rs 2,000 to help farmers with their seasonal agricultural needs.
What is PM-Kisan Yojana?
Launched in February 2019, the PM-Kisan Yojana is a flagship scheme by the Government of India aimed at supporting farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 6,000 per year, paid in three equal installments of Rs 2,000.
The amount is credited directly into the farmers' bank accounts via DBT, ensuring transparency, speed, and zero middlemen. The scheme helps farmers buy essentials like seeds, fertilizers, tools, and other farming inputs. Over time, PM-Kisan has become a financial backbone for millions of Indian farmers.
Why Aadhaar and e-KYC Are So Important
To ensure that the benefits reach the right farmers, the government has made Aadhaar linking and e-KYC (electronic Know Your Customer) mandatory. This helps eliminate fake registrations, duplicates, and fraud.
If your Aadhaar is not linked with your PM-Kisan application or bank account, or if your e-KYC is incomplete, your name could be removed from the beneficiary list, and your Rs 2,000 payment will be withheld. Complete It Before May 31, 2025
Although the government hasn't announced an official deadline, farmers are strongly advised to complete all formalities by May 31, 2025. This ensures your name remains in the beneficiary list and your June installment arrives without delay.
