PM-KISAN 18th Installment: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on October 5, 2024, disbursed the 18th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. This installment, worth over Rs 20,000 crore, benefited more than 9.4 crore farmers across India through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The event took place in Washim, Maharashtra. Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, and Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis were also present in the event.
The PM-KISAN scheme, launched on February 24, 2019, provides Rs 6,000 annually to landholding farmers in three equal installments. With the 18th installment, total disbursements under the scheme will surpass Rs 3.45 lakh crore, benefiting more than 11 crore farmers. In Maharashtra alone, around 91.51 lakh farmers will receive over Rs 1,900 crore, contributing to the state's agricultural prosperity.
To receive PM-KISAN installments, farmers must complete their e-KYC. This can be done through OTP-based eKYC on the PM-KISAN Portal or by visiting the nearest Common Service Centres (CSC) for Biometric-based eKYC.
Step-by-Step Guide for PM-KISAN e-KYC Process
For those yet to complete the PM-KISAN e-KYC process, here is a step-by-step guide to help navigate the procedure:
1. Visit the official PM Kisan website at [https://pmkisan.gov.in/].
2. Locate the ‘Farmers Corner’ on the right-hand side of the homepage.
3. Click on the ‘e-KYC’ option in the box below Farmers Corner.
4. Access the Aadhar e-KYC page.
5. Enter your Aadhar number and the displayed Captcha code, then click on the search button.
6. Input your mobile number linked to your Aadhar card and click on the "Get OTP" button.
7. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
8. Click on the ‘Submit for Authentication’ button to successfully complete your PM KISAN e-KYC.
