The PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana aims to empower farmers by providing financial assistance. The 15th installment of the PM Kisan Yojana was disbursed on November 15, 2023. Farmers are now eagerly anticipating the 16th installment. The expected release date for the 16th installment of PM Kisan is either February end or March first week. Hence eligible farmers must ensure they complete their e-KYC on time to avail themselves of the benefits of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana.
Under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, farmers receive financial assistance of Rs 6,000 per year in 3 equal installments, making it the world's largest DBT scheme. To date, more than 11 crore farmers have benefited from this program.
Farmers can complete their e-KYC by visiting their nearest e-Mitra or CSC centers and providing thumb impressions. Alternatively, they can complete e-KYC themselves through facial recognition by downloading the GOI app. Farmers can link their bank accounts to Aadhaar or open new accounts through India Post Bank to receive DBT payments.
To streamline the eKYC process for farmers under the PM KISAN scheme, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare has developed a mobile application featuring facial authentication-based e-KYC. This innovative app allows farmers to complete their own eKYC and also assists up to 100 neighboring farmers in completing their e-KYC from the comfort of their homes. Remarkably, this is the first mobile app to utilize facial authentication in any government benefit transfer scheme in India. The app is user-friendly and readily available for download on the Google Play store.
PM Kisan 16th Installment: Step-by-Step Guide for PM-KISAN e-KYC Process
For those who have yet to complete the PM-KISAN e-KYC process, here's a step-by-step guide:
1. Visit the official PM Kisan website at [https://pmkisan.gov.in/].
2. Locate the ‘Farmers Corner’ on the right-hand side of the homepage.
3. Click on the ‘e-KYC’ option in the box below Farmers Corner.
4. Access the Aadhar e-KYC page.
5. Enter your Aadhar number and the displayed Captcha code, then click on the search button.
6. Input your mobile number linked to your Aadhar card and click on the "Get OTP" button
7. Enter the OTP sent to your registered mobile number.
8. Click on the ‘Submit for Authentication’ button to successfully complete your PM KISAN e-KYC.
Moreover, the Ministry has launched a PM-KISAN AI Chatbot (Kisan e-Mitra) to serve as a comprehensive solution for farmers' grievances related to the PM-KISAN scheme. Integrated with Bhashini, the chatbot offers support in various local languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Odia, Bengali, and English, through voice and text assistance. These technological initiatives aim to promptly and effectively address beneficiaries' queries and concerns, providing them with accurate and timely information.
