The 14th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana (Scheme) is expected to be released between April and July 2023. However, no official announcement has been made by the government.

The PM-KISAN scheme provides a financial benefit of Rs 6,000 per year to all landholding farmer families, payable in three equal installments of Rs 2,000.

PM Kisan is a central sector scheme that provides income support to all landholding farmer families in the country in order to boost their financial needs for agricultural and allied inputs, as well as domestic needs. The government bears the entire financial liability for the transfer of benefits to targeted beneficiaries under the scheme. All landholding farmer families with cultivable landholding in their names are eligible for the scheme's benefits.

Farmers who are eligible can check their status by following these steps:

  • Step 1: Visit pmkisan.gov.in

  • Step 2: Select option ‘Beneficiary Status’ under ‘Farmers Corner’ section on home page

  • Step 3: Enter registered Aadhaar number/bank account number

  • Step 4: Click on ‘Get Data’

  • Step 5: Installment’s Status will be shown

In February, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the 13th installment of the PM-KISAN Yojana. However, there may be occasions when an eligible farmer does not receive the payment.

If this is the case, he or she should file a complaint with the PM Kisan helpdesk. The phone numbers for the helplines are 011-24300606 and 155261. A toll-free number is also available: 18001155266. Farmers can also register their grievances by emailing [email protected] or [email protected].

However, before filing a complaint, the farmer should check to see if his or her name is on the list of beneficiaries. According to the PM Kisan documents, beneficiaries whose names are uploaded on the portal by the concerned state/UT governments during a specific 4-month period will be eligible to receive the benefit beginning with that 4-month period.

"If they don't receive payment of installment pertaining to that 4-monthly period and subsequent installments for any reason, other than disapproval for falling within the exclusion criteria, they are allowed to receive the benefits of all the due installments as and when the reason of delay is removed/resolved," the document stated.
