What is PMFBY?
Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, launched in 2016, is a flagship crop insurance scheme by the Government of India. Under PMFBY, farmers pay a nominal premium:

Who Can Apply?
Both loanee and non-loanee farmers are eligible to enroll:

The last date for registration under the PM Fasal Bima Yojana for Kharif 2025 is 31 July 2025, and farmers are advised to complete their enrollment well before the deadline. In case of any crop damage, it must be reported within 72 hours of occurrence to ensure timely processing of claims. The claim settlement process is carried out based on field assessments and advanced remote sensing technologies. To avoid any delays or rejection of claims, farmers must ensure that they provide accurate and complete information at the time of registration.
