AAHAR2020 (March 03-07) is being organized by ITPO with support of the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Agricultural and Processed Food Products Development Authority (APEDA) and apex industry associations, Association of Resource Companies for Hospitality Industry of India(ARCHII), Hotel and Restaurant Equipment Manufacturers Association of India(HOTREMAI), All India Food Processors Association(AIFPA), Food & Hospitality Support Association of India(FHSAI), Forum of Indian Food Importers(FIFI), Federation of Indian Food & Hospitality Industry(FIFHI) and Indore Confectionary Manufacturers Association (ICMA).
The Hon’ble Minister of Commerce & Industry and Railway, Government of India, Piyush Goyal will inaugurate the 35th edition of Aahar – the Food and Hospitality Fair 1.30 pm on March 03, 2020 in Hall A4 A (GF) of the newly built International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) ,Pragati Maidan, New Delhi
The fair assumes tremendous significance in light of the announced Union Budget which has a focus on promotion of agri-community as well as tourism and MICE sectors which complements of the hospitality segment. The Central Government has recently approved the Agriculture Export Policy 2019 with an objective to double farmer’s income by 2022.
The fair is poised to grow in size after completion of ITPO’s ambitious project, world class International Exhibition-cum-Convention Centre (IECC) at Pragati Maidan. Covering a gross area of over 40,000 sq. mtrs, in Halls 7,8,9,10,11,12 and 12A, A3 (GF), A4 A (GF), A4 B (GF) and Hangers 7 FGH, H7F, and H7A, the fair features a wide range of food products, machinery, F&B equipment, hospitality and Décor Solutions, Confectionary item from over 750 participants from India and overseas. The fair has elicited participation for the foreign participation from countries including Hong Kong, Israel, Indonesia, Japan, Poland, Russia, Switzerland, UK and UAE.
The display profile is segregated into four categories namely, ‘Food Products, Ingredients & Additives’, ‘F & B Equipment’, ‘House Keeping & Engineering Equipment’ and Confectionary. Apart from the meaningful display, the fair offers an insight to operational and food safety concerns and innovations to become energy-efficient, finding budget friendly raw materials boosting productivity, while still aiming for greater profitability.
It is expected that the large number of trade visitors will visit Aahar 2020. These include top echelons of the Hotel and Hospitality industry including CEOs, General Managers, Executive Chefs, Executive House Keepers, Purchase Managers, etc. Besides, senior representatives from catering industry and academic institutions, training hotel management professionals will also visit the fair.
AAHAR will open for the business visitors from 10.00 am to 6.00 pm., daily. Registration fees of Rs.300/- is chargeable from trade visitors. Visitors may park their vehicles at Bhairon Road parking, shuttle services will play between Bhairon Mandir parking and Gate no.1. Entry to the visitors will be facilitated from Gate-1 (Bhairon Mandir side) Gate-10 (Supreme Court Metro Station side) at Pragati Maidan.
