
Department of Food Science and Technology at Punjab Agricultural University (PAU), Ludhiana, has announced a vacancy for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) under the research scheme “Use of Ultrasound Technologies for Extending Quality and Shelf Life of Whole Wheat-Based Products”. The position is offered under the TIET-TAU-PAU Centre of Excellence for Food Security (T2PCEFS) and will be for six months or until the completion of the project, whichever is earlier.
Interested candidates must submit their applications by 15 September 2025 and attend the selection process scheduled for 23 September 2025 at 11:00 AM in the Department of Food Science and Technology, PAU.
Eligibility Criteria and Remuneration
Applicants should hold a B.Sc. (Agri) (Hons.), B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Sc. Food Science & Technology, B.Tech. Food Technology, B.Sc. Nutrition & Dietetics, or B.Sc. Life Science with a minimum OCPA of 6.00/10.00 or 60% marks.
For the JRF position:

Candidates with a Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science and Technology, Food Technology (Processing Technology), or Food Processing Technology and NET qualification will receive a monthly fellowship of Rs 37,000 plus 16% HRA.

Candidates without NET but with the required Master’s degree will be eligible for a fellowship of Rs 26,000 plus 16% HRA.

Ph.D. degree holders in the relevant discipline are also eligible and are exempted from the NET requirement.

Candidates must submit their applications along with a bank draft of Rs 200 in favour of Comptroller, PAU, Ludhiana, and attested copies of relevant certificates. Candidates must bring original documents to the interview.
