Krishi Network has appointed film actor Pankaj Tripathi as a brand ambassador in order to attract farmers to its Agritech platform. The actor has also made an investment in the company. The startup stated that the new funds would be used to rapidly expand their AI-based technology platform across India.
The start-up, founded by IIT Kharagpur alumni Ashish Mishra and Siddhant Bhomia, provides farmers with relevant information to clear their doubts on a variety of issues and help them generate more income.
It provides '15-minute answers' to any agricultural-related question. It has enrolled over 8,000 experts on its platform, which provides answers to farmers' questions.
Extending Support for Farmers
The company has also onboarded Agri brands, input merchants, and other stakeholders in the agriculture supply chain, offering a mix of online and offline support. Currently, the app is available in Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and English.
"Coming from a farming family, I've always believed in supporting initiatives that provide farmers with access to information to help them grow their businesses," Pankaj Tripathi explained.
Previously, Krishi Network received funding from angel investors such as Sanjiv Rangrass (ITC), Sunil Khairnar (Indigram labs), and Venkat Tadanki (Anvaya ventures).
