Renowned Chef, Author, and Padma Shri Awardee Sanjeev Kapoor has been recognized as one of the Top Agri-Food Pioneers of 2025 by the prestigious World Food Prize Foundation. He will be felicitated at the upcoming Norman E. Borlaug International Dialogue, scheduled to be held in Iowa from October 21 to 23.
This global honour not only highlights Chef Kapoor’s extraordinary culinary journey but also celebrates his deep-rooted belief that food is much more than sustenance, it is a powerful force for transformation, healing, and hope.
From humble beginnings to becoming a household name, Chef Kapoor has consistently viewed food through a broader lens. For him, it’s not just about recipes and Flavors; it’s about empowering individuals with knowledge, dignity, and the confidence to make informed food choices. His efforts have long bridged the gap between taste and health, helping families across the country reimagine what it truly means to eat well.
A notable example of his vision is Nutri Pathshala, an initiative close to his heart that promotes naturally nutritious meals and builds nutrition awareness among children and communities. Under his leadership, the initiative has served over 3 million meals and is steadily advancing nutrition literacy among thousands of schoolchildren, parents, teachers, farmers, and caregivers across India.
This recognition also symbolizes the growing impact of initiatives like Nutri Pathshala, which represent a future where informed food choices are a basic right, not a privilege. It is about nurturing a generation that values nourishment not only for themselves, but for the wellbeing of their families and communities.
Chef Sanjeev Kapoor’s journey is a powerful reminder that when food is paired with purpose, it has the potential to create waves of positive change, far beyond the plate.
