In celebration of the 8th National Ayurveda Day, the College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry (C V Sc & AH) at the Orissa University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) is set to host a one-day workshop titled 'Ayurveda for One Health'. The event aims to shed light on the significant role of Ayurveda in promoting holistic well-being for humans and animals. With the tagline "Ayurveda for everyone on every day," the workshop promises to be an informative and enlightening gathering for enthusiasts and experts alike.
Distinguished Guests and Speakers:
Chief Patron: The Vice-Chancellor of OUAT will be the Chief Patron for the event.
Convenor: The Dean of C V Sc & AH will serve as the Convenor for the workshop.
Organizing Secretary: Dr. K K Sardar will be responsible for the smooth coordination of the event.
The day's schedule includes a series of engaging sessions, starting with registration from 9 am to 10 am. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled from 10 am to 11 am, where the Dean of C V Sc & AH will deliver the welcome address. The Guest of Honour, Dr. Theresa Rosenberg, a renowned figure from Germany and the General Secretary of the International Association for Veterinary Ayurveda, will address the audience through a video message online.
Keynote Speakers:
Chief Speaker: Dr. M M Rao, the Director of the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS) in Bhubaneswar, will share valuable insights regarding Ayurveda's role in holistic health.
Chief Guest: Dr. P Nayak, the Director of AYUSH in the Government of Odisha, will grace the event with his presence.
The workshop will feature a tea break from 11 am to 11:30 am before delving into two technical sessions.
Technical Session 1 (12 pm to 2 pm) will include:
Dr. Khirod Rath, a Scientist at CCRAS, Bhubaneswar, who will discuss "Ayurveda for One Health."
Dr. Balaram Sahu from SOA University will enlighten attendees on Ethno Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Pragnyashree Mishra from the College of Horticulture in Chipilima, who will present "Vrikshya Ayurveda in One Health perspective."
After the informative sessions, a well-deserved lunch break will follow from 2 pm to 3 pm.
Technical Session 2 (3 pm to 4:30 pm) will include:
Dr. Santwana Palai, who will delve into "AMR and Ethno Veterinary Medicine."
Dr. Jayanti Nayak, who will explore "Panchgavya in Ayurveda."
The day will conclude with a valedictory session from 4:30 pm to 5 pm, featuring key members on the dais:
