The Organics and Millets 2019, International Trade Fair will be held in Bengaluru from Jan 18-20, 2019 at the Bengaluru Palace. The much awaited second edition of the event shall revolve around the theme: K Source, lauding the state of Karnataka as the source of Next Gen Smart Foods while showcasing the smart agricultural policies and technologies of the state.
This event is being organized by the Dept. of Agriculture, Govt. of Karnataka, in collaboration with KAPPEC as the Nodal agency, International Competence Centre of Organic Agriculture (ICCOA) as the Knowledge Partner, and MCA as the Event Partner.
“The Organics and Millets Fair, which will address all aspects of the value chain, from farm to shelf, provides the perfect launch pad to position the State of Karnataka as not only a source for Next Gen smart foods and businesses, but also a source of Next Gen customers, Next Gen markets and a source of new opportunities,” quoted Shri H.N Shivashankar Reddy, Minister of Agriculture, Government of Karnataka.
Manoj Menon, Executive Director, ICCOA said that the fair will be great opportunity for companies and businesses from the NCR region to network with farmers community and witness new technologies. He said that the demand for organic is seeing a surge in the NCR region as more and more people are turning to millets and organic food as a healthier option.
The major components of the event are exhibitions, B2B Meetings, international conferences and organic food courts. The Trade Fair will have a unique ‘Jaivik India’ section for Organics and Naturals. ICCOA also organized the Jaivik India Awards in recognition of organic stakeholders across India.
