OLA Launches ‘Electric Scooter S1 & S1 Pro’ at a Starting Price of Rs 99,999

On 15th August (Sunday) Ola Electric has launched its S1 & S1 Pro scooters in India. The pre-launch bookings of Ola Electric scooter were opened last month at the refundable price of Rs 499. The company has managed to notch up over 1 lakh bookings within 24 hours of opening of the window. Ola Electric has been creating buzz & were making big promises.

On 15th August (Sunday) Ola Electric has launched its S1 & S1 Pro scooters in India. The pre-launch bookings of Ola Electric scooter were opened last month at the refundable price of Rs 499. The company has managed to notch up over 1 lakh bookings within 24 hours of opening of the window. Ola Electric has been creating buzz & were making big promises. That it will offer in 10 color options and it is confirmed. It will offer the reverse ride mode & will be having a great riding character. 

Highlights of the Launch of ‘Ola Electric Scooter S1 & S1 Pro’ 

  • Ola E- Scooter will be starting to deliver in December 2021.

  • Ola S1 priced at Rs 99,999 & S1 Pro is priced at Rs 129,999. These pieces are after excluding the subsidies offered by the state & central government.

  • It gets voice assist, and has a built-in speakers etc.

  • It has the feature, through which it can sense a person’s presence & unlock itself. 

  • Ola Electric scooter’s digital display gets a mood display and it also shows how much carbon emission is saving.

  • The scooter gets hill hold control cruise control, reverse assist, octa-core processor, 7-inch touch screen display along with 3GB RAM.

  • The Future Factory of OLA is capable of producing one scooter every two seconds.

  • Ola Electric claims that it will offer electric scooter in more than 400 cities across the country.

  • It can be charged, using a 5A socket at home/office and it will offer its changing network in more than 100 cities.

  • It has won a number of awards & the list includes IHS Markit Innovation Award at CES & the German Design Award.

  • It will compete with the rivals like Simple One, Ather 450X, Bajaj Chetak TVS iQube 
  • Ola Electric is expected to deliver scooter right to customer’s doorstep and is expected to take online sales route, like Tesla

  • It has claimed to offer the larger boot space, which will be able to accommodate 2 helmets and still have space to pack more.

  • Ola Electric’s S1 electric scooter have some best in-class features such as 50-litres under seat- storage, LED Lightning & reverse function.

  • The CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal gives a glimpse of the first electric scooter. The Ola Electric Factory took almost six months to take the current shape after starting the work in February 2021.

  • The Ola S1 is capable of running around 150 km on a single charge & have a top excess of 100kmph. It is capable of charging from 0 to 50% in just 18 minutes, while delivering 75 km of half-cycle charge.

 

  • Ola Electric claims its mega factory, to be capable to roll out up to 20 lakh electric scooters in the initial phase. The capacity of production will be hiked in the future. The target is to ramp up the annual production capacity to about 10 million per annum by the end of 2022.

  • Ola electric claims to be the largest scooter manufacturing plant in the world. It will likely to be launched in two different variants that is S1 & S1 Pro.

Ola Electric will be manufacturing its electric scooter at under construction facility in Tamil Nadu, India. This facility is being claimed largest for the electric scooters & it will eventually have an output of 10 million units per annum.

Electric vehicles are very much in demand these days. It not only protects the environment from pollution but also is easy to drive. People from all sections of the society (including the farming community) use these electric vehicles.
