In anticipation of World Food Safety Day which is marked on June 7, the Department of Interdisciplinary Sciences at the National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management, Kundli (NIFTEM-K) organized a comprehensive two-day Certificate Course on Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP) from June 1 to 2, 2024. In collaboration with The Acheson Group, renowned for its global contributions to food safety, the program saw enthusiastic participation from a diverse cohort of students and professionals from various organizations.
The inaugural session, graced by the esteemed presence of Dr. Harinder Singh Oberoi, Director of NIFTEM-K, marked the beginning of a knowledge-sharing endeavor aimed at enhancing industry-relevant skills and fostering a culture of stringent food safety protocols.
Led by Ms. Ranjeet Klair, a distinguished trainer from The Acheson Group, participants were immersed in the practical intricacies of HACCP implementation within the food industry. Through interactive exercises and role-playing scenarios, Ms. Klair demonstrated the real-world application of HACCP principles, providing a hands-on learning experience for all attendees.
The primary objective of the course was to equip students and professionals with the practical knowledge and skills necessary to effectively manage food safety complexities.
