The highly anticipated inauguration of India's new Parliament building is set to take place today, and it promises to be a grand event attended by dignitaries, religious leaders, and eminent personalities from various walks of life. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will have the honor of inaugurating the magnificent structure, marking a significant milestone in the country's democratic journey.
The inauguration ceremony will commence with an early morning havan, a sacred fire ritual, and a multi-religion prayer. This spiritual start reflects India's diverse cultural and religious fabric. The ceremonial sceptre, known as Sengol, will be presented to Prime Minister Modi by senior priests from the Shaivite order during the havan, symbolizing the transfer of power and responsibility.
The new Parliament building stands as a testament to India's democratic heritage and progressive vision. The complex features a grand Constitution Hall, which will serve as a showcase for India's democratic values and history. Additionally, it includes a member's lounge, a library, multiple committee rooms, dining areas, and ample parking space to cater to the needs of parliamentarians.

The morning havan and religious rituals will take place outside the new Parliament building, starting at 7 a.m. and continuing until 9 a.m. During this time, Prime Minister Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Deputy Chairman Hariwansh, and other high-ranking officials are expected to be present.
Following the conclusion of the morning pujas, the formal inauguration ceremony is scheduled to begin around noon. Prime Minister Modi will deliver a keynote address in the Lok Sabha, marking the official opening of the new Parliament building.
