Dr Krushana Chandra Sahoo Director (Commercial) and Dr Pankaj Kumar Tyagi GM (Productions) National Seeds Corporation Ltd (NSC), visited Krishi Jagran on Wednesday, August 2, 2023.
Before joining NSC, Dr Sahoo served as the General Manager of Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), a Navatana PSU under the Ministry of Steel.
As the Director (Commercial) of NSC, he is in charge of Production, Marketing, and Quality Control activities including production and sales of agro products and their promotion, distribution network, logistics, etc. for meeting the competitive goals and financial results of the Corporation.
Founder & Editor-in-Chief, Mr. MC Dominic, welcomed the guests saying, “National Seed Corporation has always been close to Krishi Jagran’s heart as they supported us in the beginning when we started in 1996.”
He also said that “India is not facing a dearth of seeds because of the National Seed Corporation,” which provides at least 50 per cent of the seeds to the farmers in the country. “Although many private players have entered the stream, NSC has remained intact in its place quite firmly,” he added.

“It is important to understand how to talk to farmers and match their body language, psychology, and society in order to understand them,” he said.
After meeting the staff members of Krishi Jagran, Dr. Krushana Chandra Sahoo Director (Commercial) NSC said, “Why have taken so much time to come to this office, I should have visited here much before.”
He said agriculture is everywhere. No one can do anything without food.
“Farmers are the basement of a building whose façade looks appealing to the world,” he said.
Adding more emphasis to the work that has been done by the farmers, he said, “People cannot get successful without the involvement of Jan, Jangal, and Janwar.”
Moreover, he said, “Krishi Jagran and National Seed Corporation are bhai-bhai”.
