Pension scheme is important as it is the biggest support for people after their retirement or during their old age. The Centre, as well as State Government, has launched many pension schemes for the social security of people.
Yogi Adityanath, Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh recently said that no poor, farmer, elderly person & destitute women will be discriminated against receiving the benefit of government welfare scheme. He added that these are the basic amenities and nobody will be deprived of them.
CM Yogi Adityanath said that “It is the intention of a government that every poor, farmer, destitute woman & elderly person should get the benefit of welfare schemes of the government without any kind of discrimination.
In this sequence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has released the schemes from time to time to benefit the people.No one will be deprived of the basic necessities or die of hunger in Uttar Pradesh”, as he transferred Rs 836.55 crore to 55.77 lakh beneficiaries of National Old Age Pension Scheme.
The announcement took place at a virtual event where CM Yogi said that “I am happy to inform you all that out of these beneficiaries, these are around 4.56 lakh new beneficiaries. The quarterly installment is being sent these accounts for the very first time”.
CM Yogi Adityanath further added that the older people have a wealth of experiences & they are our guide to the future, which is why the Central & the State Governments are working together with a sense of service to manage life & livelihood of each & every senior citizen.
“Whether the elder people need ration or the medical treatment at this time of illness, everything is being provided free of cost. Not only this, “Elderly Helpline Number: 14567” (Elderline) has been specially issued, where any senior citizen can contact & get the help 24×7” said CM Yogi Adityanath.
He also had an interaction session with the old age pension beneficiaries of various districts through the virtual medium where he inquired about the health of all. He also instructed that the district magistrates provide the benefit of Ayushman Bharat or the Chief Minister Jan Arogya Yojana to the very needy.
