About 1010 litres of adulterated milk was recovered by the Dharavi police. Six individuals were detained on suspicion of purchasing milk packets from a variety of manufacturers, including Gokul, Amul, and others, adding water to them, then sealing the packets with a candle flame and sealing them again.
During the raid, when they looked at the packets, they concluded that the milk had been adulterated with the addition of water. The food and drug administration has received the adulterated milk samples for additional testing.
The information concerning this incident, according to Shahu Nagar police, came from a source who said that many houses in Gopalnagar, Dharavi, were involved in adulterating milk packages made up of several brands.
The adulterated milk bottles, unclean used milk packets, adulterated milk packets, and candles that were used to seal the adulterated milk packets were all confiscated by the police during a search of the houses on Thursday. When the police looked at the packages during the raid, they saw the seal being ripped off and then sealed again. They came to the conclusion that adding water had adulterated the milk as a result.
The authorities discovered during their investigation that the milk packages were manufactured by many different companies, including Gokul and Amul. "About 1010 liters of adulterated milk, worth Rs. 60,600, were confiscated by us.
