Junior Hindi Translator: Master's degree from a recognized University with Hindi/English as a compulsory/elective subject or as a medium of examination at the degree level.
Others: Matriculation pass from a recognized board.

Candidates will also have to deposit a non-refundable application fee of Rs.200 through demand draft in favor of Principal Director, Defense Estates, and Southern Command. Women applicants, and those belonging to SC/ST/EWS and Ex-Servicemen categories, are not required to pay any fee.
