In a significant step towards strengthening India's organic farming sector, the Secretary of the Ministry of Cooperation, Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani, inaugurated the state-of-the-art packaging facility of the National Cooperative Organics Limited (NCOL) in Noida, Uttar Pradesh on April 24, 2025. This advanced facility is a key addition to NCOL’s mission of promoting certified organic produce under the ‘Bharat Organics’ brand, equipped with cutting-edge technology to ensure high standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency in the packaging of pulses and various organic food items.

Addressing the occasion, Secretary, Ministry of Cooperation, Dr. Ashish Kumar Bhutani highlighted the importance of this launch in NCOL’s mission to promote sustainable organic farming. He emphasized that Bharat Organics is playing a vital role in making healthy food accessible to everyone while creating new market avenues for farmers.

Dr. Bhutani noted that the Ministry, under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah, is committed to empowering farmers and expanding the organic movement across India.

Bharat Organics currently offers 21 organic products, including pulses, cereals, spices, and sweeteners. These products are already available at over 200 SAFAL outlets in Delhi-NCR and are expanding across major e-commerce platforms like Amazon, Flipkart, BigBasket, Swiggy, and Blinkit. They are also accessible through NCCF and NAFED outlets and will soon be launched at all Reliance stores.

NCOL Chairman Meenesh Shah stressed the organization’s commitment to ensuring that organic farmers receive premium prices for their efforts. He assured that Bharat Organics maintains strict quality standards, with each batch undergoing mandatory testing for over 245 pesticide residues.

Managing Director Vipul Mittal shared that the launch comes as a proud moment during the international year of cooperation, chaired by India. The packaging now includes a QR code that allows consumers to verify the authenticity of the product by accessing batch-wise pesticide residue test reports.

Mother Dairy Managing Director Manish Bandlish added that the brand is fully committed to making Bharat Organics widely accessible through its trusted retail network, supporting the larger vision of making healthy organic food a household choice.

Established in 2023 by the Ministry of Cooperation, NCOL functions as an umbrella body to manage the aggregation, certification, branding, and marketing of organic produce from the cooperative sector. The initiative aligns with the national goal of “Sahkar se Samriddhi,” envisioning a prosperous India through cooperation.
