B2B unit of Bharti Airtel, Airtel Business, and IBM have teamed up to build a hybrid cloud solution for large milk producer companies (MPCs). The hybrid cloud solution, which will use Airtel Cloud and IBM Power servers, will host the ERP and other critical applications, accelerating the digital transition of milk producers companies (MPCs).
Paayas in Rajasthan, Baani in Punjab, Shreeja in Andhra Pradesh, Maahi in Gujarat, and Saahaj in Uttar Pradesh are among the five largest MPCs and produce a significant quantity of milk which requires safety and management.
The switch to the Airtel-IBM hybrid cloud platform, as well as modern IT infrastructure, would allow these MPCs to improve their assistance for member milk farmers. It will allow these producer companies to safely document and access essential information about their members, such as the amount of milk obtained from farmers, milk products created and sold, and so on. Over 500,000 associated dairy farmers would be able to receive direct and prompt digital payments from the MPCs. The majority come from low-income families and contribute up to 25 lakh liters of milk every day from over 14,000 villages.
For companies that do not have their own data centers, the infrastructure as a service (IaaS) model will provide an affordable, quick, foundational system that can be scaled up or scaled down as needed. This paradigm works well for companies that require scalable workloads and data management.
"Our objective is to empower enterprises to stay concentrated on their core businesses while we drive end-to-end digitalization on their behalf," says Ganesh Lakshminarayanan, CEO, Enterprise Business, Airtel Business. We have offered producer companies with a modernized and safe data center infrastructure to conduct their data-intensive work operations on a hybrid cloud service at a very low cost through the joint value proposition.
"IBM and Airtel will cooperate and complement each other's skills to serve the rising demands of digital transformation of organizations in India." We are delighted to assist producer firms on their path to the cloud. Our involvement is in line with the government's "Digital India" plans, and we want to promote for widespread use of digital platforms, particularly direct funds to bank accounts of millions of farmers", said Ravi Jain, director Of Server Sales, IBM India/South Asia.
