On July 30, 2024, Krishi Jagran, in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Jodhpur and the Agriculture Department (Jodhpur), successfully organized the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' at Panchayat Bhawan (Gram Panchayat, Dudhabera) Balesar, Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and powered by Dhanuka Agritech Limited, with ICAR serving as a knowledge partner, the event brought together farmers and agricultural experts to explore the theme of 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous India.'
The festival aimed to connect farmers with the latest practices and innovations in agriculture, focusing on critical areas such as 'Disease and Pest Management in Cotton Crops, Innovations in the Tractor Industry, Tractor Management, and Millet Farming.' Around 175 farmers attended, gaining valuable insights into modern agricultural techniques.
A Day Filled with Learning and Networking
The event commenced with participant registration, setting the tone for a day of informative discussions and networking opportunities. The agenda was meticulously planned, featuring sessions on key topics essential for contemporary farming practices. Distinguished guests included, Dr. B.S. Rathore (Head of KVK, CAZRI Jodhpur); Dr. R.R. Moghwal (SMS, Agro); Dr. A. Mounika (SMS, Plant Protection); Dr. Chandana M.R. (SMS, Horticulture); Babu Ram Joya (Horticulture Officer); Dr. Manohar Singh (Block Agricultural Officer); Khemaram Joya (Sarpanch, Gram Panchayat, Dudhabera, Balesar); M.R. Saini (ASM, Dhanuka Agritech Limited); Bharat Singh Beniwal (Regional Manager, Mahindra Tractors).
Keynote speakers delivered compelling presentations on innovative farming solutions and advanced agricultural equipment, emphasizing methods to boost farm income and acknowledging the accomplishments of progressive farmers in the region. Following the presentations, outstanding farmers were honored with certificates, celebrating their commitment and success in enhancing agricultural practices. The Utsav concluded with a vote of thanks and a group photo, reflecting the successful efforts to empower the farming community and promote sustainable agricultural practices.
The Utsav also featured exhibitions by Mahindra Tractors and Dhanuka Agritech. Farmers explored the latest tractor models and products, gaining firsthand knowledge of cutting-edge farming technology.
