'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' Held at KVK Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh: Farmers Gain Insights into Latest Technology

On June 11, 2024, Krishi Jagran organized the 'MFOI Samridh Kisan Utsav' at the Krishi Vigyan Kendra in Sambalpur, Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors and supported by Action Construction Equipment Limited (ACE), the event revolved around the theme 'Maximizing Farmers' Income for a Prosperous Bharat.' This program was dedicated to enriching the agricultural community with the latest agricultural practices and innovations. Purnima Banpela, District Member of Dhamtari graced the event as Chief Guest. More than 200 farmers participated in this event and gained information about new technologies.

The day commenced with participant registration, followed by a lamp-lighting ceremony. Dr. Ishwar Singh, Head, KVK Dhamtari delivered the welcome address. Vivek Kumar Rai, the Content Head of Krishi Jagran's Hindi Department, addressed the audience, explaining Krishi Jagran's mission and the core purpose of the Samridh Kisan Utsav. He highlighted the event as a platform where farmers can share their success stories and inspire their peers.

Other notable guests included Kisan Netam, Sarpanch of Sehradabari; Roma Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer of District Panchayat, Dhamtari; Monesh Sahu, Deputy Director of Agriculture for District Dhamtari; Dilip Singh Kushwah, Assistant Director; Ramakant Dwivedi, Senior Area Manager at Mahindra Tractors; and Anup Srivastava, Head of Sales and Marketing at Action Construction Equipment Ltd.

Ramakant Dwivedi, Senior Area Manager at Mahindra Tractors, addressed the gathering with a focus on the transformative potential of advanced agricultural machinery. During his presentation, Dwivedi highlighted the latest models of Mahindra tractors, which are designed to revolutionize agricultural practices by enhancing efficiency and productivity.

Anup Shrivastava, Head of Sales & Marketing at Action Construction Equipment Ltd, informed the farmers about ACE's agricultural equipment highlighting its features, encouraging them to use these tools for farming. He shared that farmers in Chhattisgarh will receive substantial subsidies for purchasing ACE products. ACE stalls also showcased advanced agricultural technology at the event, providing farmers with insights into the newest machinery to simplify farming.

Following the presentations, the chief guest distributed certificates to progressive farmers, acknowledging their achievements and contributions. Among those recognized were Bholaram Chandrakar, Gamen Chandrakar, Nakul Thimar, Nirmal Sahu, Cheman Patel, Radheshyam, Govardhan Singha, Yogeshwari Devangan, Anup Devangan, Mahendra Dhiwar, Pokhan Sahu, Harishchandra Sahu, Sakharam Sahu, Shram Sahu, Birsingh Soni, Ruparam Sahu, Bharat Chandrakar, Sagun Ram Sahu, Bimla Bai Devpur, Hiralal, Chandulal, Umit Sahu, Tomman Sahu, Prashant Sahu, Kamal Singh, Arun Didelkar, Hansraj Sahu, and Hariom Sahu.

Farmers visited the Mahindra Tractors and ACE stalls to gather comprehensive information about the equipment on display. The event concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a successful day dedicated to empowering the farming community and promoting sustainable agricultural practices.

Building upon this momentum, the spotlight shifted to the upcoming 'Millionaire Farmer of India Awards'. Sponsored by Mahindra Tractors, these awards seek to honor farmers across various categories, promoting excellence and innovation in agriculture. As the second edition approaches, Krishi Jagran invites widespread participation from all sectors of agriculture by providing an online registration platform for nominees, fostering a culture of recognition and appreciation for India's farming community.
